“I use real hardwoods such as maple, purpleheart, oak and walnut. I never use “buffalo chip board,” pressboard, or plywood veneers. All joints are fitted with wooden dowels, not staples, nails or screws. I love to create unique designs with patterns and colors. I use the beauty of different natural woods to achieve the variation and combination of color and design, never dyes or stains. Each piece is carefully oiled, waxed and rubbed until the smooth patina and rich color of the wood is fully expressed. I consider each box a work of art and a labor of love.”
